Wicked Crispy is/was a mostly NSFW webcomic intended for mature audiences (mostly for a little awful nudity or suggestive material.). I chose to use a pen name on the chance that if it was ever collected and published, it wouldn’t be in the same place as all my all-ages titles.
Wicked Crispy is a dark, epically inappropriate, comedy inspired by eighties cartoons like Master of the Universe and Thundercats, combined with a good, old-fashioned soap opera with some with nudity tossed in for fun. And not the “MMM, that’s what I’m talkin’ about.” Nudity, either. More like the “Wait, is that…? Gross, dude! You need to see a doctor right now” Nudity. Not the kind you want. But it might be the kind you need?
At its heart, Wicked Crispy is a cautionary tale of what happens when a group of out of touch, washed up, middle-aged, villains find themselves suddenly unemployed and grasping for relevancy in a land filled with terrible places and even worse people.
Job loss, divorce, and a questionable healthcare system are all made worse by an ongoing chain of escalating poor life decisions made by our protagonists as they try to get their lives back on track. Also there is a Taco Frog, a banker with staggering anger management issues, a traveling story-teller, and a VERY upsetting visit to a night club.
